Local barber Sharon Pollock is donating her time to give free haircuts to clients of the Samaritan Centre every week.
A make-shift barber shop has been set up by the Samaritan Centre — which serves the city's homeless and needy population — in one of its second floor offices and includes a shampoo sink for washing hair and a hair salon chair.
All the items for the hair salon have been donations or used equipment obtained at very reasonable prices.
Pollock will be providing haircuts every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Samaritan Centre is accepting donations of shampoo, conditioner, sterilizing solution, cleaning products and cash to offset the costs of this project.
