Local gas prices drop to about 114.6

Greater Sudbury's gas prices have dropped over the past day.

The lowest gas price is 112.9 at Independent at the Pumps on Lorne Street, and the highest gas price is 116.9 at the Byrnes gas station in Azilda, according to GasBuddy.com. Most gas stations, however, are hovering at around 114.6.

For comparison sake, gas prices in Sturgeon Falls range from 109.7 to 109.9 — the same as what they've been all week.

The average price of gas in Ontario is 109.3, while the lowest price — in St. Catharines — is 84.0.
