In collaboration with the Greater Sudbury Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police and Emergency Medical Services of Greater Sudbury, Collège Boréal has organized a lock-down simulation at its main campus in Sudbury.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The double objective of this event is to test the efficiency of Collège Boréal's emergency procedures, as well as to provide Collège Boréal's second year students in its Techniques des services policiers (Police Foundations), Soins paramédicaux (Paramedic) and Techniques de travail social (Social Services Worker) programs with a unique opportunity to put into practice their knowledge in the context of a shooting and a hostage-taking.
Starting early in the afternoon, workshops about police activities will be offered to Boréal's students.
