According to a press release issued by the company, helicopters will spray a clear, non-toxic and biodegradable dust-suppressing product known as Envirocrust over the tailings.

The program is expected to start July 13 and finish around July 27. Helicopters are expected to fly between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Vale warns residents they may see low-flying helicopters near the tailings, but they will not be flying over homes in the nearby area.
