MacLeod students raising money for Easter Seals

Children attending MacLeod Public School will be collecting change from Oct. 19 to Nov. 6 for their Nickels for the North campaign to raise money for Easter Seals Ontario. Easter Seals raises money to help children with physical disabilities.

Children attending MacLeod Public School will be collecting change from Oct. 19 to Nov. 6 for their Nickels for the North campaign to raise money for Easter Seals Ontario.

Easter Seals raises money to help children with physical disabilities.

Students at MacLeod will also qualify for prizes, including pizza parties, a pool party, a private movie screening, Dynamic Earth outings, an Easter Seals Telethon appearance and Sudbury Wolves tickets.

The campaign was launched Oct. 16 at MacLeod.

Paralympian & Rowing Canada’s Adaptive Male Athlete of the Year, Steve Daniel, made a special presentation to the students about his experience as a former Afghanistan soldier who became Canada’s fastest arms-only rower after a parachuting accident in 2005.
