An irritated husband recently posted a photo of himself wearing his wife's shirt to prove that some fashion companies are shaming women about their weight.

Since the photo was posted on Facebook on May 20, it's received hundreds of comments and has been shared more than 57,000 times.

"I go shopping with my wife and see her get aggravated, I now understand why." Michael Jammer wrote in the Facebook post.

"I'm 6-1, 150 lbs. I wear a medium shirt...This is her shirt. It's an XL. And we wonder why so many young women have eating disorders."

Jammer isn't the first person to point this out.

Many people have taken to social media calling out body shaming sizing in the women's fashion industry, including Missy Rogers from New Jersey.

After a visit to American Eagle, Rogers posted a photo of two pairs of shorts that look identical in size but one is three sizes larger than the other.

"My first impression when going into the store and trying on the size 4 (as I had in the past) was disheartening as I could not even get them past my knees," Rogers wrote.

"Having to go up to a size 10 made me question just how much weight I gained. But once I brought the shorts home and compared, I realized that size is literally just a number."

Jammers' rant has sparked a new Facebook group called 'Help the Jammer Wear Cause', where people can share their own body shaming experiences.
