Greater Sudbury Mayor Marianne Matichuk was paid $140,369 in 2012, a combination of salary, benefits and reimbursement for mileage expenses.

She also claimed $8,400 in mileage expenses.

The top earner among city councillors was Ward 5 Coun. Ron Dupuis, who took home $56,164 in salary, benefits and mileage expenses. Dupuis earned $40,525 in salary, $10,062 in benefits and claimed $5,577 in mileage. The mileage figure included $3,260 claimed for 2010 and 2011.

Councillors get a base salary, but earn more for sitting on or chairing committees. Dupuis, for example, chairs the Greater Sudbury Police Services Board.

The combined totals for rest of council all came in under $50,000, ranging from $48,696 for Ward 2 Coun. Jacques Barbeau, to a low of $41,035 for Ward 9 Coun. Doug Craig.

All councillors claimed mileage expenses except for Ward 1 Coun. Joe Cimino and Ward 8 Coun. Fabio Belli.

Matichuk claimed the most for mileage, followed by Kett, Kilgour and Dupuis.

In addition to details of renumeration, the city has released the final budgets for the mayor and council.
