The Northern Ontario School of Medicine and OPSEU Local 677 failed to reach an agreement during two days of mediated talks, which took place Sept. 1-2.

The parties have agreed to return to the table Sept. 14 -17, in Thunder Bay, with the assistance of a Ministry of Labour mediator, according to a press release from the medical school.

The parties have agreed to the mediator’s recommendation to maintain a media blackout until and during these new dates.

About 150 NOSM employees who work in Sudbury and Thunder Bay have been on strike since Aug. 16.
