M.R. 80 down to single lane for water main repairs

Municipal Road 80 will be reduced to one lane between Simon and Guillet streets in the McCrea Heights and Guilletville area today, July 13, as the city continues to repair a water main.

Repair crews have been on site since last night to repair the broken water main, which is affecting about 250 homes.

The affected homes should continue to receive water but will experience low water pressure and may need to reduce water use today.

In a press release, the city states it expects water flow to return to normal around noon, and the street will be completely open this evening.
