Get ready for a day of mud, sweat and cheers in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. The Mudmoiselle obstacle course is a five kilometre stretch of Canada’s muckiest, filthiest, slimiest mud.

It’s where your inner child runs free while testing your endurance, strength and ability to keep a straight face.

The Sudbury Mudmoiselle race takes place Saturday, Aug. 18 at Adanac Ski Hill.

Teams of four or more are encouraged. The minimum age to participate in the event is 13. Those participating between the ages of 13-16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the course.

Registration costs $75, and there's a fundraising minimum of $150.

While Mudmoiselle is open to all fitness levels, you will require training, race organizers say.

To register, visit the Canadian Cancer Society website.
