Municipal election 2018: Stay in the know with Sudbury.com's election website

Whether you're a candidate or a voter (or both!), the site is a one-stop spread your message or stay informed

Municipal election day 2018 is a little over a month away and public interest in the race is high.

Between shares and comments on our website, Sudbury.com can see that interest in this race is high among local voters.

To help both voters and candidates, Sudbury.com has created an election website to help you decide how to vote on Oct. 22 (election day, in case you didn't know).

For voters, the site includes a general list of the latest election news from the campaigns, a  ward map in case you're not sure which ward you live in, and a full list of polling stations so you can find the most convenient location for you to cast your ballot in person.

For candidates (and voters, too), we've also created individual pages for every candidate to use free of charge.

Candidates, your page includes a photo of you, space for a biography so voters can learn more about you and your platform, and space for you to run press releases, policy positions and platform planks.

This is being offered free-of-charge to all mayoral, council and trustee candidates. Let our reporters help you get your message out.

Thousands of Sudburians visit Sudbury.com every day to get their news. If you want to get your message out, it is the place to be.

Some candidates have not yet taken advantage of this important opportunity. Check your inboxes, spam folders and voicemails, candidates — Sudbury.com has contacted each and every one of you several times to invite you to participate.

If you haven't responded, we encourage you to do so. Send your material to [email protected].

The page for mayoral candidates and council candidates is live now.

We'll have the trustee pages up shortly.
