Nepalese community reserves their spot on Bridge of Nations

A Nepalese flag will soon fly on the Bridge of Nations.

The Ambassador to Nepal, Kali Pokhrel as well as members of the Nepalese community of Greater Sudbury, recently presented a cheque for $1,200 to Mayor Brian Bigger and the Bridge of Nations Committee co-chair, Ursula Sauve. The money will be held in trust by the city to reserve a spot on the bridge for the flag of Nepal for the third and final phase of the Bridge of Nations. A Nepalese flag will soon fly on the Bridge of Nations.

The Ambassador to Nepal, Kali Pokhrel as well as members of the Nepalese community of Greater Sudbury, recently presented a cheque for $1,200 to Mayor Brian Bigger and the Bridge of Nations Committee co-chair, Ursula Sauve.

The money will be held in trust by the city to reserve a spot on the bridge for the flag of Nepal for the third and final phase of the Bridge of Nations. For phase 3, the city is looking at adding an additional 10-18 flag poles.

The city invites countries and nations who would like their flag represented on the Bridge of Nations to phone 3-1-1 for more information.
