NISA raises awareness of Defeat Depression walk, coming up May 27

Clients and staff with the Northern Initiative for Social Action (NISA) walked through Downtown Sudbury with signs Wednesday to raise awareness of the fourth annual Defeat Depression Fun Walk/Run, which is coming up May 27. 

The event gets underway starting at 9 a.m. that day at the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre. 

Organizers hope to raise $40,000, about three quarters of which will be put towards the peer-run mental health programming run by NISA.
