NOSM, OPSEU head back to bargaining table Nov. 1

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine and OPSEU Local 677 have agreed to return to the bargaining table as of Nov. 1. The two sides will be working with a provincially-appointed mediator.

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine and OPSEU Local 677 have agreed to return to the bargaining table as of Nov. 1.

The two sides will be working with a provincially-appointed mediator.

"We look forward to returning to the table with renewed energy and a focus on bringing this labour dispute to an end," Tyler England, chair of OPSEU Local 677's bargaining team, said in a press release.

"We trust that management also shares this commitment to reaching a just and fair agreement."

Members of Local 677 have been on strike since Aug. 16. An earlier tentative agreement was rejected by the workers on Oct. 12.
