The City of Greater Sudbury is advising residents that an exemption to the municipal noise bylaw has been approved for overnight construction at the intersection of Falconbridge Rd. and Lasalle Blvd.
Contractors have been given permission to complete road grinding operations between 8 pm and 6 am on Oct. 18 and Oct. 19. Overnight construction will help minimize traffic disruptions during the day.
Improvements to the Falconbridge-Lasalle intersection include widening and resurfacing to incorporate a centre turn lane, installation of watermains and storm sewers, curb and sidewalk construction. The project is scheduled to be complete by the end of November.
