The leaves are falling and mountain bike season is coming to a close, but not before one last race at Kivi Park.

The Northern Cancer Foundation and Kivi Park are set to welcome mountain bikers to the Shred Cancer Mountain Bike Classic, the fifth and final event of MOVE – The Kivi Park Fitness Series on Saturday, Nov. 3.

While experienced riders can take on up to three loops of our 5 km course, there are courses available for the whole family - 1 km for kids (free of charge); 3 km ($5 for kids, $35 for adults); 5 km (one loop); 10 km (two loops); and 15 km (three loops).

All courses are located at Crowley Lake in Kivi Park (using Raft Lake Road entrance). Registration starts at 10 a.m. and races start at 11 a.m. Although registration is $35 for adults, registration will be waived with $100 in donations.

"The Shred Cancer Mountain Bike Classic is a great opportunity to get the bikes out for one last ride or break out your fatbike for the first ride of the season," said a news release from the Northern Cancer Foundation.

"It’s a great, family-friendly way to spend your morning and you’ll be supporting cancer care in your backyard."

For more information on registration, MOVE – The Kivi Park Fitness Series or the Northern Cancer Foundation, visit www.ncfsudbury.com or call 705-523-HOPE (4673).
