On the roads: Plenty of roadwork starting Sept. 3

Motorists take note: road work staring Sept. 3 will impact traffic all over Greater Sudbury.

Kingsway: Asphalt patching will close one lane of traffic in two different areas on The Kingsway, near Third Avenue, from Sept. 3 to 30. Work taking place during the day will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or overnight and/or on the weekends. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. 

Bancroft Drive, Minnow Lake: Asphalt patching will close one lane on Bancroft Drive, near Third Avenue, from Sept. 3 to 30. Work taking place during the day will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or overnight and/or on the weekends to accommodate back to school traffic and pedestrians. One lane will be maintained at all times. 

Falconbridge Road: Sidewalk replacement will close the sidewalk and west-bound lane on Falconbridge Road, near Hawthorne Drive, from Sept. 3 to 30. Work taking place during the day will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or overnight and/or on the weekends to accommodate back to school traffic and pedestrians. One west bound lane will remain open to traffic.
 
Falconbridge Road, Garson: Asphalt patching will close the west-bound lane on Falconbridge Road, near Metcalfe Avenue, from Sept. 3 to 30.

York Street: Asphalt rehabilitation will create traffic delays on York Street between Paris Street to Regent Street, from Sept. 3 to 30. Flaggers will be on site to help pedestrians. Work taking place during the day will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or overnight and/or on the weekends. One lane will be maintained at all times. 

Attlee Street: Asphalt rehabilitation will create traffic delays on Attlee Street, between LaSalle Boulevard and Gemmell Street, from Oct. 3 to 30. Flaggers will be on site to help pedestrians. Work taking place during the day will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or overnight and/or on the weekends. One lane will be maintained at all times. 

Regent Street: Paving operations and line painting will reduce traffic to one lane on Regent Street south, from Walford Road to York Street, from Sept. 3 to 30. Work taking place during the day will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or overnight and/or on the weekends. One lane of traffic will be maintained.
