The City of Greater Sudbury is advising citizens that lawn and garden watering restrictions are now in effect until the end of September.
Even numbered addresses may water on even days of the month and odd numbered addresses may water on odd days. The outdoor watering bylaw applies during day and night.
City bylaw enforcement officers will be monitoring violations. First time violations can result in a $300 ticket. Repeat violations could lead to charges under the Provincial Offences Act and a fine of up to $5,000.
