Tonight is Christmas Eve, and it looks like Santa has pretty much perfect flying conditions, if a bit nippy.

Today there will be periods of light snow ending this morning then a mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of flurries. Wind northeast 20 km/h. High of -8 C. Wind chill -20 C in the morning and -11 C in the afternoon. UV index 1 or low.

Tonight there will be a few clouds. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low -12 C. Wind chill -11 C in the evening and -25 C overnight. Risk of frostbite (so hopefully Santa wears his long underwear!).
