Performers wanted

The city is looking for local musicians who want to perform at Market Square this summer and early fall.

Concerts begin June 2 and run until Oct. 28.

Performances take place on Sunday afternoons from noon until 2 p.m. on the outdoor stage at Market Square.

Priority will be given to performers whose material is appropriate for all ages, who represent the "diversity and culture” of Greater Sudbury and who don't require much help in setting up and tearing down before and after their shows.

Performers must bring their own equipment and tent if required. Performers should be aware the performance may be cancelled in the event of bad weather.

Performers and groups will receive a small honorarium as compensation.

Anyone interested should go to www.mysudbury.ca/marketsquare for an application form. The form can be scanned and emailed back to [email protected], faxed to 705-671-6767 or dropped off at Tom Davies Square on the main floor at the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation Office.
