PetSmart in Sudbury is hosting an adoption event this weekend as part of National Adoption Weekend.
Pet Save will have 25 animals up for adoption at the local store.
National Adoption Weekend begins Friday, running 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., and continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event is organized by PetSmart Charities of Canada, and is part of a bigger event across Canada with the hope of finding homes for 1,600 pets.
PetSmart is located at 1399 Marcus Dr.
“If you can't add a pet to your family, Canadians can still help out,” said a news release. “Snap a photo of an adoptable pet while at your local PetSmart's National Adoption Weekend event and upload it to social media with the hashtag #PicMe. This will help connect pets with their new pet parents.”
