Photos: Family-friendly fun at Capreol Days

Family-friendly activities were set up throughout Capreol on Saturday, for the annual Capreol Day festivities slated to continue into the evening, with some events slated for Sunday

Capreol has been a popular place this weekend, with family friendly activities taking place during Capreol Days.

Between various downtown locations and the Capreol Community Centre and Arena, which hosted the Geek X Comic Con, there was plenty to see and do during the day.

Although the bulk of activities were during the day, it isn’t over just yet.

On Saturday evening, live music will continue at the Legion parking lot from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., and a Project X Wrestling Capreol Cup event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m.

A slow-pitch baseball tournament will continue until 8 p.m. tonight and continue from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Also on Sunday:

  • Firehouse Bar and Grill will host Caesar Sunday, with live entertainment by Carter Morin from 2 - 5 p.m.
  • Movie night at Millennium Centre, featuring Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • Glo-ride guided bike tour from 8:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Millennium Centre

This weekend, Sudbury.com will also publish a story on the Capreol Needlework Club’s first-ever show, held during Capreol Days. A story will also be published about a Capreol community member who received a special award during Saturday's festivities for their community stewardship.
