The April 18 city priorities committee meeting will take place in Onaping.

The meeting will begin at 6 pm at the Onaping Community Centre at 1 Hillside Ave.

This is the first of six priorities committee meetings which will be held in areas outside the city core in 2007. These meetings were recommended in Floyd Laughren's Constellation City Report, which was presented to city council in January.

Meetings will also be held in Wahnapitae, Azilda, Garson, Blezard Valley and Lively.

“It is important for all of us, city staff and members of council alike, to really get to know the communities that make up Greater Sudbury,” said Greater Sudbury Mayor John Rodriguez, in a release.

“Venturing outside of the council chambers for these meetings gives us the opportunity to engage residents and learn more about what is happening in our city.”

Members of the public are invited to attend this meeting. The agenda is available online at www.greatersudbury.ca.
