Rainbow District School Board recently announced senior leadership appointments and transfers of staff within the elementary and secondary school panels. They are as follows:

Elementary schools:

Kim Kalviainen, principal of R.L. Beattie Public School, has been appointed the board’s principal of program. Focusing on the board’s strategic plan, she will be responsible for programs and curricula in all grades in all schools. She will work with school principals and staff, as well as supervise consultants.

Lynne Kulha, principal of Westmount Avenue Public School and Ernie Checkeris Public School, will be principal of R.L. Beattie Public School.

Denise Goodmurphy, principal of Carl A. Nesbitt Public School, will be principal of Westmount Avenue Public School and Ernie Checkeris Public School.

Mary French, principal of Churchill Public School, will be principal of Carl A. Nesbitt Public School.

David Farrow, principal of Northeastern Elementary School, will be principal of Churchill Public School.

Kathy Wachnuk, principal of Markstay Public School and Warren Central Public School, will be principal of Northeastern Elementary School.

Stephen Winckel, vice-principal of R.L. Beattie Public School, will be principal of Markstay Public School.

Kendra Mihell will be principal of S. Geiger Public School.
Margaret Stringer, principal of Little Current Public School, will be principal of special education programs and services.

Jamie Mohamed, vice-principal of Espanola High School, will be principal of Little Current Public School.

Secondary schools:

Bruce Bourget, principal of Lockerby Composite School, will be student success leader.

Heather Gaffney, vice-principal at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, will be principal of Lockerby Composite School.

Craig Runciman will remain principal of Lasalle Secondary School.

Rob Sime will be principal of the summer school.
