The USW Local 2020, Women of Steel Steering Committee is calling on women activists to attend a Rally/BBQ in support of striking CIBC workers in Greater Sudbury.
The Rally/BBQ will be held on Thursday July 17th, 2008 at the Dieppe Room in the Steelworkers Hall between 5 and 7 p.m.
Marie Clarke Walker, executive vice-president of the Canadian Labour Congress, will speak at the event. The barbecue is compliments of the Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR).
Participants are being asked to brainstorm for ideas to help the CIBC workers achieve a just settlement.
