Ready, set, dance with the Easter Seals stars

Eighth annual  event promises to bring all the glitz and glamour

Dancing with Easter Seals Stars is coming back for another year on  Feb. 23 at the Caruso Club.

Following the success of last year's event, which raised more than $80,000 for kids with physical disabilities, this year's event promises to be even bigger.

For one, the diverse lineup this year is already proving to be a star-studded night. Some of the participants taking up the challenge are Amanda Pride of EastlinkTV, Phil Mullin from The Car Lot Etc., radio personality Melissa Kelly from Rewind 103.9 and even a teacher from the Rainbow District School Board, Leslie VanWallegham.

“The 2018 lineup of stars features an amazing group of community members who are tackling this challenge with incredible enthusiasm and taking themselves out of their comfort zone,”  said Joanne Bowers, Easter Seals development officer.

All money raised from this year's event will aid funding for essential mobility equipment, such as walkers, wheelchairs, porch lifts and ramps, as well as communication devices for families who require additional help and support in raising a child with a physical disability.

The agenda for the evening also includes a cocktail hour and a wine tasting, followed by live Dancing with Easter Seals Stars competition.

For those who want to catch this star-studded night, the show will be broadcast live on EastlinkTV Channel 10/HD610,

Celebrity judges along with the help of the guests will determine the “star” of eighth annual  Dancing with Easter Seals.
