Next fall, Ontario's teachers may engage in work-to-rule, followed by one-day rotating strikes.

According to a June 7 Toronto Star article, the teachers' unions representing public elementary and secondary teachers, as well as their Catholic and French counterparts, met Thursday night to plan co-ordinated job action.

The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario has already been involved in a work-to-rule campaign since earlier this spring.

Members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) were on strike against the Rainbow District School Board for a month this spring.

Along with their counterparts in Durham and Peel, they were ordered back on the job by the Ontario Labour Relations Board last month.

The OSSTF recently applied for conciliation, the first step towards a province-wide strike.
