The 2009/2010 Explore Science speaker series at Science North will be wrapping up with it's final presentation set to be held on April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Vale Inco Cavern of Science North.

David Eberth, senior research scientist at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta, is scheduled to talk about unusual dinosaur preservations, which can provide a unique opportunity to learn about dinosaur lifestyles.

He'll be looking at exhibits from the Jurassic of Xinjiang, China, which preserve the remains of small theropods stacked one upon another.

Eberth studies ancient environments of fossil-bearing rocks, and has participated in various projected in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Germany, China, Mongolia, and Argentina. His research has helped to shed light on what the earth's ancient environments may have been like, as well as how they changed through time.

Tickets are $15 for the general public and $12 for Science North members, plus GST. They can be purchased at www.sciencenorth.ca/speakers.

The Explore Science speaker series has recently been looking back in time to the age of the dinosaurs in celebration of the Science North exhibition, Dinosaurs Unearthed.
