Retired Teachers donate to two local organizations

Maison McCulloch Hospice and Sudbury Food Bank share in a $6,000 donation

The Retired Teachers of Ontario District 4 Sudbury-Manitoulin (RTOERO) made Christmastime donations to two local organizations.

This month, Maison McCulloch Hospice received $1,500 and the Sudbury Food Bank received $4,451.10.

The teachers group said the hospice is “the only free grief support program in the community” and touches the lives of more than 3,500 people. 

And as part of the group’s annual tradition, at their Christmas luncheon RTOERO members donated more than $4,000 to the food bank to support its work in the community.
