Retirees donate exercise bike to Alzheimer Society

The Sudbury chapter of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) donated an $8,300, state-of-the-art exercise bicycle to the Société Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin.

The Sudbury chapter of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) donated an $8,300, state-of-the-art exercise bicycle to the Société Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin.

The Alzheimer Society said the exercise bicycle will be “instrumental in helping those with dementia maintain their mental and physical abilities as long as possible.”

The president of the Sudbury chapter of CARP, Pat Douglas, said the group is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Canadians as they age.
