Ongoing Projects

Paris Street/Notre Dame Avenue
Improvement work continues on Paris Street, and the northbound curb lane remains closed between Van Horne and Elm Streets while the curbs and sidewalks are removed and replaced.

Paris Street's southbound lane adjacent to the median between Elm and Brady Streets will remain closed, and eastbound traffic lanes on Brady Street between Shaughnessy and Paris Streets will be closed.

Northbound and southbound traffic lanes adjacent to the median along Notre Dame Avenue remain closed between Ste. Anne Road to Leslie Street for watermain work.

Lasalle Boulevard
Between Montrose Avenue, east of Notre Dame Avenue, the westbound curblane of Lasalle Boulevard continues to be closed for curb work. Also, the westbound curb lane from Paquette Street to about 100 metres east of Barry Downe Road remains closed.

Falconbridge Highway
Construction from the St. Charles College entrance at Hawthorne Drive to Barrington Street will see the southbound curb lane of Falconbridge Highway close in stages. Construction includes the installation of a retaining wall near the Barrington intersection, as well as curb and sidewalk work near St. Charles College.

The highway will also be closed to one lane in sections between Garson-Coniston Road to Cedargreen Drive as work on curb and sidewalk removal and replacement, grading of adjacent properties, and catchbasin and manhole adjustments continue.

Additional Projects

The rehabilitation of the Elm Street bridge, an underground structure spanning Elm, Paris, and Lloyd Streets, began May 25. Traffic on Lloyd Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction while the project continues.

The rehabilitation includes excavation, concrete removal, installation of a new bridge deck, backfill and asphalt replacement. The estimated length of time for the project is four months.

Lane restrictions will be in effect on Paris Street near Maki Avenue between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily, as overnight construction work will be done to install a new water main and sanitary sewer across Paris Street. Work is expected to be finished by the end of May.

Motorists between Lorne Street and the CPR crossing may experience delays as the road surface and surrounding areas are being restored following last year's water main installation. Work should be finished by the end of May.

Traffic will be closed on Larch Street, between Elgin and Durham Streets, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 for Sudbury's Yard and Sidewalk Sale.
