The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre hosts its 10th annual Rods N’ Rails Classic Car Show on June 18 in Capreol.

The 10th annual Rods N’ Rails Classic Car Show will hit Bloor Street in Capreol on June 18.

Hosted by the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre (NORMHC) and presented by Greater Sudbury Utilities, the event is June 18 — yes, it is also Father’s Day — from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 26 Bloor Street in Capreol.

Get a glimpse of classic cars, sport compacts, custom builds and more at the event. Car registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with major prizes to be announced at 3 p.m. The first 100 registered vehicles will receive a dash plaque.

From 9-11 a.m., the 2915 Capreol Army Cadets host a Father’s Day breakfast at Legion Branch 179.

The Sudbury Street Rod Association will present a “Club Choice Award” again this year along with Valve Cover Races and Belt Toss Games.

There will be live entertainment courtesy of local band “Twenty-One” along with vendors, BBQ and a beer tent. Admission is free to the park along with the Cotton Candy Man on site.

“We are so excited to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of our Rods N’ Rails Classic Car Show with over 200+ vehicles on display for everyone to enjoy” said Joanne Bowers, chief administrative officer of the NORMHC.
