Press Release

(Sudbury) – Glenn Thibeault today announced a series of community-based roundtables that would connect members of the local community with members of the provincial government to discuss the issues that matter most to Sudbury – healthcare, transportation and jobs.

“I’ve been hitting the streets, knocking on doors and talking to the people. Overwhelmingly, the message I’m getting from the community is that Sudbury wants a voice,” said Thibeault.“If elected provincially, I know I will be a more effective champion for the community. As a member of the Wynne government I would be a part of a team that shares this community’s vision of a thriving and prosperous Sudbury.”

With years of experience advocating for the community, Thibeault has a strong record of serving his constituents and always putting Sudbury first.

“The local byelection is in full swing and all eyes are on Sudbury right now, giving the people of our community a unique opportunity to be heard,” continued Thibeault. “These roundtables are connecting our community directly with the decision makers in Toronto on the issues that matter most to us.”

Over the coming weeks, Liberal MPPs Steven Del Duca, Eric Hoskins and Brad Duguid, among others, will be visiting Sudbury to see and hear about issues affecting the community first hand.

“The Wynne government has a proven track record of working collaboratively with communities at the grassroots level,” said Thibeault. “As a member of her team, I know that when I speak up on behalf of my constituents, I will be heard — Sudbury will be heard.”

In addition to the roundtables, Thibeault has committed to taking part in the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and CBC-Radio Canada debates where he is prepared to discuss the issues and hear from the community about what matters most to them.
