Run for the Cure raises $57K in Sudbury

More than 600 walkers, runners and volunteers endured the chilly fall weather on Sunday, Oct. 2 to participate in the 19th CIBC Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Run for the Cure in Sudbury.  

The annual 1K and 5K walk/run brought in a total of 42 teams, 564 participants and 90 volunteers. The event brought in more than $57,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest, single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event in support of creating a future without breast cancer. 

Since 1998, the Sudbury community has raised more than $3.4 million.
