Safe Ride Home hosting fall fundraising walk

Distances for kids, casual walkers and joggers will help raise funds for impaired driving prevention group

Safe Ride Home Sudbury is hosting a fundraising walk at Kivi Park on Sept. 24.

The Grab the Wheel Against Impaired Driving Run/Walk Event will feature several distances, a 1 km kids run and a 5 km run/walk, as well as a 5 km event for corporate teams. 

“Join us as we celebrate 25 years serving our community,” the group said in a news release. “Safe Ride Home Sudbury is a great way to get  involved, have fun and make a difference in our community.”

Volunteer-drive, during the holiday season Safe Ride Home Sudbury helps thousands of Sudburians and their vehicle receive a safe ride home to prevent impaired driving, as well as raise awareness and education throughout the year to prevent impaired driving.
