On Saturday, the Sudbury & District Health Unit announced it had removed signs advising against swimming at the main beach at Bell Park.

“The most recent water samples taken at the beach by the health unit are within acceptable bacteriological water quality standards for bathing beaches,” it said in a news release.

To ensure water is safe, the health unit takes water samples every week during the summer from 35 local beaches. More detailed information about local beach water quality can be found at www.sdhu.com.
