School boards elect chairs, vice-chairs

All of the trustees serving on local school boards over the next four years have been sworn in recently, and the leadership on these boards chosen for the next school year.

All of the trustees serving on local school boards over the next four years have been sworn in recently, and the leadership on these boards chosen for the next school year.

With the Rainbow District School Board, Doreen Dewar was acclaimed the board's chair and Dena Morrison the board's vice-chair. Both women have served multiple terms as chair and vice-chair with the board.

The Sudbury Catholic District School Board has elected Jody Cameron its chair — a position he's also held several times over the past several years — and Michael Bellmore the vice-chair.

With the French boards, André Bidal has been elected president of the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO), and Anne Dechaine the vice-president.

Jean-Marc Aubin was elected chair of the Conseil public grand nord de l'Ontario (CSPGNO). Claude Giroux was elected vice-chair for the region of Greater Sudbury and Marie Gélineault as vice-chair for the districts of Algoma and Thunder Bay.
