Grade 7 and 8 music students from Lively District Secondary School, Levack Public School and Pinecrest Public School will get together to treat the public to a concert June 19.

The Schools of Rock concert will take place from 7-9 p.m. at Lockerby Composite School's McKellar Auditorium.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets will support the Sudbury Food Bank and the rock band programs. Concessions will be available during intermission.

Tickets are $2 for students and $5 for adults, to a maximum of $10 per family.

“This presentation is for the entire community,” Ralph McIntosh, arts education co-ordinator for Rainbow District School Board, said in a press release.

“Our young musicians are very excited about having the opportunity to perform on the big stage at Lockerby Composite School. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy some wonderful entertainment by the talented students of Rainbow schools.”
