Original story:

Two former Atlas Copco employees face up to 14 years in prison today as sentences could be handed down in a Sudbury courtroom this afternoon.

Awaiting their fate are Paul Caron and Dirk Plate. Back in June, the two were found guilty of one count each of fraud over $5,000.*

The allegations are related to Atlas Copco's Sudbury operations, where as much as $24 million went missing in the complicated case.

Another Atlas Copco employee involved in the scheme, Leo Caron, pleaded guilty in 2014 and was sentenced to five years. He testified for the Crown in the trial against Caron and Plate.

Reporter Jonathan Migneault is in court today. More to come.

*An earlier version of this story stated the two men faced theft and conspiracy charges as well. That was an error.
