Seven local churches will be celebrating the full immersion in water baptism on Sunday, June 26 at 10 a.m on the shores of Ramsey Lake.

Now in its sixth year and continuing to grow, there have been 150 people baptized at the annual Plunge in the Park since its inception in 2010.

Close to 300 people line the shore to witness the ceremony first hand, while others across the northeast listen to the live broadcast on local Christian radio station KFM and live streamed at plungeinthepark.com.

"We are very excited about the opportunity for so many churches to join us now. The full immerse in water baptism is an outward symbol of what is happening in someone's spiritual life and the number of people who are stepping forward to be baptized in this way is incredibly powerful for all of us in the church," said Pastor Jeremy Mahood, All Nations Church.

Churches involved in the service include All Nations Church, First Baptist Church Garson, New Life Christian Centre, Restoration Church, SLYNGSHOT, Valley Pentecostal Church and Valleyview Community Church.

The service also includes a worship team performing from a pontoon boat off shore and a BBQ for everyone. All are welcome to participate.
