Operation Red Nose and GSPS RIDE program launch:

The GSPS in partnership with Operation Red Nose, launched their official festive season RIDE campaign Friday night on Lasalle Boulevard. Check back with Sudbury.com for photos from last night's launch.

Christ the King Church celebrates 100th anniversary:

This weekend, Christ the King Church will celebrate their centennial with a pair of events. On Nov. 26, at 3:15 p.m on the front lawn of the church the church will raise the Canadian flag in recognition of Canada’s 150th celebrations and the Papal flag reflecting Catholic heritage in Sudbury. Copper Cliff tree lighting set for Saturday:

The fourth annual Copper Cliff Community Tree Lighting takes place starting at 6 p.m. Saturday evening at the Copper Cliff Museum.

ICYMI: Brew Lofts condo plan takes another step forward:

The developer behind plans to redevelop the former Northern Breweries building on Lorne Street took another step forward this week when he received rezoning approval from the city's planning committee. You can read the full story here.

Wolves take on IceDogs Sunday afternoon:

The Sudbury Wolves will play the back half of their home-and-home series with the Niagara IceDogs on Sunday afternoon. Puck drop is 2 p.m. Sudbury.com will have photos and a game recap for you.

Filming downtown on Sunday could causes traffic delays:

Filming will take place Sunday, Nov. 27 from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. on the sidewalks and street area of Durham and Larch streets and Old City Hall Lane.Filming will  occur on Durham Street between Cedar Street and Medina Lane, at the corner of Durham and Larch streets and on Old City Hall Lane east of Durham Street. During this time, brief temporary traffic interruptions and lane closures may occur.

Some flurries in the forecast on Saturday with a high of around -1. Sunday will be a little cooler with a high of -4, but sunny skies overhead and no snow in the forecast.
