A group of seven people who bought lotto tickets together are celebrating today after learning they won a $500,000 prize from Lotto MAXMILLIONS.

While it was announced Wednesday, the draw took place in Oct. 26, 2018.

The big winners are:

  • Angele Wickham of Sudbury
  • Alisha LaBrosse of Hanmer
  • Carla Ouellette of Sudbury
  • Julie Savoie of Chelmsford
  • Nicole Antoine of Sudbury
  • Paul Brouillette of Sudbury
  • Shawnda Lortie of Copper Cliff

This is the second lotto win in Sudbury announced this week, and both tickets were purchased at Cara's Convenience on Lorne Street. Virginia Gainer of Naughton won $50,000 in the Feb. 20 Ontario 49 draw.

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $4.7 billion, including 62 jackpot wins and 557 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province.
