Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Update

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel-sized hail.

This line of thunderstorms is located east of Killarney, moving east at 50 km/h.

Locations impacted include: Nickel Centre, Rock Lake, Beaverstone Bay, Deer Lake, Tyson Lake, Long Lake, Moxam's Landing, Tilton Lake, Spoon Lake, Clearwater Lake, Lohi Lake, Crooked Lake, Pine Lake, Middle Lake.

Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts and nickel-sized hail.
