'Sisters in Spirit' march takes place in downtown Sudbury this morning

Motorists are asked to be aware of traffic disruptions in downtown Sudbury this morning during the "Sisters in Spirit" march.

The event, which honours the lives of missing and murdered indigenous women, and is put on by the N'Swakamok Native Friendship Centre, takes place at Christ the King church between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Greater Sudbury Police say the march takes place between 11:15 a.m. and noon. Marchers will be walking on Beech Street, Elgin Street, Larch, Street, Minto Street, Brady Street and Durham Street.
