Infrastructure announcement coming today:

Sudbury MP Paul Lefebvre, MP for Nickel Belt Marc Serré, Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibault, and Mayor Brian Bigger will be making a significant infrastructure announcement for the City of Greater Sudbury today at 2 p.m. at Tom Davies Square. NOSM making a major funding announcement this morning:

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) will make a multi-million dollar funding announcement that pertains to health and environmental research in Northern Ontario. The announcement will be taking place at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine at Laurentian University (935 Ramsey Lake Rd.) at 9 a.m. Check back with Sudbury.com for coverage from this announcement.

ICYMI: Why do gas prices vary from region to region?

Sudbury MPP and Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault says the province is planning to study issues related to gas prices. The Ontario Energy Board will study three main issues: Why prices can be so much higher in some regions of the province than others; price spikes and dips that come as global oil prices rise and fall; and, how prices are set by individual and chain gas stations. Watermain repairs on Maley Drive:

Due to a watermain valve repair the eastbound lane will be closed on Maley Drive at Old Falconbridge Road on Nov.10. Work will be completed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic control will be in place during those times.
