A notorious multiple murderer is applying for parole that would allow him visits to a halfway house in Greater Sudbury. Opioid addiction a major issue in the north:
The gravity of Ontario's problem with opioid addiction, and the toll it takes on thousands of people every year, is not fully understood by the public, says the lead author of a new report on opioid use and its adverse effects in the province. Sudbury.com will have more on that report this weekend.

The installation of monitoring wells will result in intermittent lane closures in the northbound and southbound curb lanes on Lorne Street, at Walnut Street and at Birch Street, from Nov. 15 to 17.
