A heavy snowfall is causing havoc on area roads today.
Traffic was slowed on Highway 69 North this morning after a car struck guide rails and went over an embankment between Tracks and Wheels and McRae Heights at around 6:40 a.m.
Two lanes of the highway were closed for a short period of time when the vehicle was towed out, and the highway was fully cleared by 8:30 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
There were nine motor vehicle collisions between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. this morning, said Greater Sudbury Police spokeperson Const. Bert Lapalme.
Lapalme advises motorists to slow down and leave plenty of space between themselves and the next car to avoid collisions.
