South End blast under investigation

Teranorth Construction and Engineering Limited initiated the blast on a former Ministry of Transportation quarry at the southwest corner of the Long Lake Bypass intersection.

The blast was felt by area residents, prompting calls to the city's 3-1-1 municipal service line.

The city is currently conducting a joint investigation into the blasting operation along with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Transportation.
