More than 7 million families around the world have become proud pet owners, thanks to the Iams Home 4 the Holidays program.

This year, the Ontario SPCA Sudbury and District chapter is taking part and teaming up with thousand of animal organization to find forever homes for the four-legged critters in their care.

“With thousands of homeless pets in our province, it is important everyone get involved to help save an orphaned animal,” said Rachelle Lamoureux, the Sudbury animal care co-ordinator. “We're proud to be part of this amazing campaign and are dedicated to placing orphaned animals in homes so they can experience a happy life with their new, loving family.”

Not only does the SPCA want pets to find good families, they want to ensure families find the right pet.

“The staff at the Ontario SPCA Sudbury and District are specially trained and can help families chose the perfect pet for their personalities and lifestyles,” said Rob Kaelas, northern district manager.

The Iams Home 4 the Holidays program runs Nov. 1 to Jan. 2.

Those who are unable to adopt can support the SPCA by donating to the Paws & Give campaign.
