This afternoon, Environment Canada has continued the special weather statement for Greater Sudbury and area that issued on Sunday.
Significant rainfall is possible tonight through Monday afternoon or evening, with a low-pressure system bringing another round of rain to the area. What's more, the statement warns "the ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall."
Between 20 and 40 mm of rain is predicted and localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
